In 2015, our Summer School will run for 4 weeks and will offer
three different programs depending on the age/grade of the
students. Learning experience will include electives such as
Music and Drama, Science and Digital Media. The core academic
component will include English language development and
Mathematics with emphasis on improving fundamental skills using
differentiated instructions. Sports Program will include Swim,
Soccer and Basketball.
First day of Summer School: Sunday, June 14th, 2015
Last day of Summer School: Thursday, July 9th, 2015
PreK 3 and PreK 4: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
PreK 3 and PreK 4 summer programs are designed for children of
age between 3 years and 5 years. There will be 15-20 students,
one teacher and two teacher-assistants in each classroom. The
weekly schedule will include arts and crafts, music and drama,
English language development, mathematics, various indoor and
outdoor games, swimming, weekly “Unit of Inquiry”, library, PE
and other co-curricular activities.
Kindergarten and First Grade: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Summer programs for KG and Grade 1 are designed for children of
age between 5 to 7 years. There will be 15-20 students, one
teacher and one or two teacher-assistants in each classroom. The
weekly schedule will include arts and crafts, music and drama,
English language development, mathematics, various indoor and
outdoor games, swimming, weekly “Unit of Inquiry”, library, PE
and other co-curricular activities.
Second and Third Grade: 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
Summer programs for 2nd and 3rd Grade are designed for children
of age between 7 to 9 years. There will be 15-20 students, one
teacher and one teacher-assistant in each classroom. The weekly
schedule will include arts and crafts, music and drama, English
language development, mathematics, various indoor and outdoor
games, swimming, weekly “Unit of Inquiry”, library, PE and other
co-curricular activities.
Fourth Grade to Eighth Grade: 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
Students who have successfully completed third grade or higher
in an English medium school (Local or International) will be
considered for this program. The average class size for this
program is 15 students. Language Arts (English) and Mathematics
are the core courses that are offered to all students. Students
in this program also undertake Science and Digital Media for
their elective courses. Each students will also take part in
daily Swim, Soccer and Basketball sessions. |
